FENTEX is a cross-border trade intermediary connecting distribution in Japan and China. With a perspective rooted in both countries and a network of partner factories, we bridge reliable manufacturing.

Why FENTEX

The big jobs go to the trading houses. The jobs they can't get to, we take.

Trading houses are at their best with large, dependable deals. We take the opposite end — the small, the urgent, the fiddly — and stay closest to it. It's a different role, and both are necessary.

General & specialist trading houses

Large volumes, long-term contracts, major investment. Where scale and credit matter, the trading houses excel.

FENTEX

Small lots, short lead times, special specs. From a single prototype, from a part with no drawing. Founder-direct, moving with our Chinese partner factories.

  • Large volume · long-term · major investmentGeneral & specialist trading houses (scale & credit)
  • Small lots · from a single prototypeFENTEX (no minimum order)
  • Short lead time · spot ordersFENTEX (founder-direct, fast to start)
  • No drawing · discontinued · special specFENTEX (drawn from the physical part, revived)
  • Language · prepayment · quality-standard worriesFENTEX (we translate business customs, easing friction early)

Trading houses run on thin margins (typically ~1.5–2.0%), so their economics naturally prioritize large, dependable deals. That's a rational choice on their part. We take the opposite end — staying closest to the small, the urgent, the work that takes an extra step.

Our Strengths

Why companies choose FENTEX

  • 01

    Understanding both sides from within

Built on the founder's experience living in both Japan and China, we head off cultural, language, and business-custom misalignment.

  • 02

    A broad factory network

We route each job to the partner factory that does it best, covering multi-item needs one factory can't.

  • 03

    The flexibility of zero inventory

Holding no stock, we design the optimal flow for each project.

  • 04

We can build it even without a drawing

Reverse engineering from a physical sample remanufactures parts that have no specification.

Founder's Story

A view from across two countries.

FENTEX's trust rests on the founder being, personally, a bridge between Japan and China. Knowing both countries' business customs from the inside, we translate them with a feel for the floor — not from a desk.

The founder grew up moving between Japan and China, and can read the air in either side's meeting room from the inside. That's how we catch misalignment before it's even put into words.

The manufacturing side is rooted in a relationship with Chinese factories that goes back to the founder's father. We work with people whose faces we know, hands-on.

Chinese manufacturing capability, and Japan's labor shortage and SME challenges — I want to connect that gap as closely as possible. That is where FENTEX begins.

Translating business customs: smoothing the usual friction in advance

Prepayment negotiation

We translate the gap between China's prepayment norms and Japan's acceptance-inspection culture into terms both sides can accept.

Gaps in quality standards

We make the difference between 'good enough' and 'drawing tolerance' concrete, aligning incoming-inspection criteria up front.

Deadline culture

Factoring in Lunar New Year, holidays, and the realities of the floor, we design a deadline that can actually be met from the start.

Drawing interpretation

We confirm any mismatch between drawing, physical part, and intent in both languages before work begins.

Cross-border Flow

Two markets,shortest distance.

Because the intermediary model holds no stock, distribution can be assembled along the shortest path. We design the movement of goods between the two countries, starting from the order.
